Other options

  • The canteen in the Lipsius building serves meals on weekdays between 09:00-14:00. There are vegan/vegetarian options available.  However, seats are limited. 
  • There is also a small bakery around the corner (Frisian bread and pastry shop ‘Us Bertus’, Groenhazengracht 10).  
  • In the alley leading up to the Lipsius building ‘Pakhuis Leiden’ (Doelensteeg 8) is open during lunch- and dinnertime.  
  • For high-end dining, one can make a reservation at ‘Verboden Toegang Restaurant Artikel 461’ (Kaiserstraat 7) or ‘Bistro Goeswijn’ (Choorlammersteeg 1D).
  • On the Nieuwe Rijn lots of bars and restaurants can be found. ‘Pavarotti’ serves affordable Italian cuisine and ‘Delphi’ serves Greek food. 

All suggestions above have vegetarian options available. ‘Delphi’, however, has the least.
